When the whole world is panicking about a pandemic, it is so easy for individuals to find themselves sinking into self-sabotaging fear, anger or depression. But there is absolutely no need for you to join the collective angst during this challenging time. There are a whole range of practical tools that you can utilise to rise above fear or panic to dwell in more or less unshakeable peace and light.
First of all, if you are worried about your physical health, simply commit to spending an hour or so doing some Chi Kung exercise every day so that your physical body becomes full of Chi Abundance or radiant energy. A body full of radiant chi simply cannot get sick or die – unless an individual’s karma related to ill health is so strong that it overrides the incredible health benefits of Chi cultivation.
THE ESSENTIAL SKILL-SET
The next tool for perfect health and serenity to utilise every day is the practice of challenging all the fearful thoughts that you notice popping up in your mind. For example, if you notice a thought such as, ‘This pandemic is getting so much worse again. It is now really dangerous to go outside of my house.’ You can pause, take a few deep calming breaths and ask yourself, ‘Is that true? Can I absolutely know that that fearful thought is true? And ‘How would I feel without that thought?’
A recent survey found that a majority of the general public believed that 7 percent of the UK population had now died of Covid when the real figure was far, far less than 1 percent. This survey illustrates how much irrational fear and panic has been spread by the media and by internet posts. To avoid being upset by inaccurate reporting about Covid 19, I suggest that you either avoid the daily news altogether, or make sure that you go behind the headlines to study the real, far less scary, statistics of the pandemic in some depth.
The next key tool to place in your toolbox is to take that short journey each day down from your fearful brain to your compassionate, loving heart. The brain is biologically designed to focus on possible future danger, whereas your heart is the doorway to a much higher level of consciousness that is connected to pure peace, light and love. Simply sit still for a while at least once or twice a day and practice bringing your awareness down to your physical heart or your heart centre. Then see, feel, or imagine breathing an out-of-this world light in and out of your heart centre to open it up to a much higher power or wisdom.
Next, if you notice even a twinge of anxiety arising within you about the pandemic or the subsequent lockdown, bring the energy of compassion to your fearful self and remind yourself that others are also feeling upset at this time. Then, as you breathe out, extend the energy of compassion out to all those who are suffering physically, mentally or emotionally as this pandemic keeps unfolding. By focusing on others with pure compassion in your heart, you will automatically begin to transcend your own negative ego-centred thoughts into a much higher and much more peaceful level of consciousness.
The last tool that you should definitely put in your tool box and then use on a daily basis is the practice of aligning to the light. As you sit to meditate each day, make sure that your spine is straight and gently stretching upwards. Then, bring both palms up above your Crown Centre as you reach up to connect to a bright star above you. Next, slowly and mindfully bring this bright star-like higher light down into all of your seven Chakras or energy centres. Then, throughout your meditation keep a gentle focus on filling your whole being with a higher, all powerful light that can miraculously dissolve fearful energy that may be lurking within your system.

There is no greater gift that you can give to yourself or to others than the gift of rising above collective human fear and darkness to dwell in light and love.
FINDING PEACE ON EARTH
