The December Message
Towards a Miraculous Christmas
More and more people are learning how to follow a path from fear to love. But we still live on a troubled planet. Most people still experience anger, conflict, and ill-health. But hardly anyone realises that the pain and suffering arises from fear stored in their own minds and hearts.
The work I do with all of my Infinite Arts students is designed to assist them to rise above their fear and worries so that they can dwell in peace, love, light and joy for longer and longer periods of time. This raising of our consciousness is crucial for the survival of the whole world. So please, commit to doing your very best to practise dwelling in love day in and day out until you are an exceptionally bright guiding light in our dark, troubled world.
Don’t let all the endless bad news in the world drag you down. Instead, find ways to rise above the fear-based collective human consciousness, such as practising Infinite Meditation and Infinite Tai Chi. Learn to meditate, because it is a really skilful way to rescue our minds from drowning in our own negativity. With regular meditation practice, we can stay in the peace of the present for longer and longer periods of time.
Judging Others
We have a tendency to make assumptions about other people and the world based on our past experience and past programming. Judging others is self-deception, but we all do it, which is one reason why family get-togethers over Christmas can end up being so stressful. Ram Dass famously said: “If you think you’re enlightened, try spending a weekend with your family.”
Judging others is actually an automatic human process until we cultivate enough awareness or mindfulness to notice what our own mind is doing to us. Moreover, the lower mind is always thinking about the past or fantasising about the future. We seem to find it difficult to keep our minds in the here and now. If you observe your mind closely for a while, you will notice that it will wander off into the past or the future. Not many people have yet cultivated the capacity to keep their minds and bodies together in the present moment.
Our judgement of events and people will also vary according to how we are feeling on any particular day. For example, if we are in love, nothing will disturb us, and we will see the good in everyone. But moody emotions will create dark clouds in our minds that totally obscure the eternal, vast blue sky that lies beyond our egoic thinking and feeling, and it won’t take much to annoy us. Be aware about this, and take it into account when about to pass judgement.
When spiritual teachers talk about this world being an illusion, they do not mean that it does not exist. But they are pointing out that we never see the world as it really is. We do not really see other people clearly. We see them through the illusive veil of our past programming that we then project out onto them. Thus each time the mind makes an assumption about someone, it places another veil of illusion over true vision.

So, we need to become like experimental scientists searching for the ultimate truth about life through our own totally honest and brave self-investigation. Keep catching your egoic mind deceiving you, until you begin to see through its trickery. Buddha described the unawakened human mind as ‘ignorant’, not because we are all stupid or uneducated, but because we are all seeing what is not really there, and not seeing what is there!
THIS CHRISTMAS, ABIDE IN THE WARMTH AND COMFORT OF YOUR HEART
Please make a conscious choice this Christmas to take a pause from the busyness of the festive season, with all its accompanying stress and irritation. Make time for nourishing and nurturing yourself, to create a spaciousness in the body and mind that leads to calm thinking, an at-easeness and generosity.
I would like to share with you a simple practice that you can do anywhere: at work, at home, while sitting, standing and talking. Within just a few moments you will return to your calm inner being and abide in comfort.
Just sit with a straight back (to let the spirit rise) and focus on your breath. Make sure your feet are firmly on the floor, rooting in to the strength of the earth. You will soon notice your mind will start to still, your body will start to relax, your breathing slow and deepen. To energise the body, place your hands on your lap with palms facing inward toward the Dantien. This will activate this powerhouse to give you some much-needed radiant vitality! You soon realise you’ve left your troubles ‘outside’ as you’ve come back ‘home’, within, to alignment with universal truth and wisdom, and peace.
This little practice need only take a few minutes, and you can do it anywhere, and as often as necessary, bringing your bright, radiant and peaceful presence back into your world to the benefit of all those around you.
May you have a peaceful and joyful Christmas,
Jason and the Light Team
